Chicken Kofta Gravy

Chicken_Kofta_Curry

Ingredients:

For Making Koftas:

Boneless Minced Chicken – 1 kg
Ginger & Garlic  minced – 1spoon
green chilly-2
onion medium size-1
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder – to taste
pepper powder-1/2 spoon
Rosted Bengal gram(pottukadalai)-3 spoons
turmeric,cumin,fennel powder-each 1/4 spoon
mint leaves-few springs
Salt – very little
Egg – 1
oil-require amount

For Making Gravy:

Oil – 2 spoons
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon Stick – 1
Bay Leaf – 1
curry leaves – few
Onion chopped– 1 medium
Salt – very little
Ginger Garlic  minced– 1 spoon
Tomatoes – 3
Fresh coconut milk-1 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 spoon
Red chilly powder -3 spoons(As per you taste)
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp

Method

1.In a pan add minced chicken ,turmeric powder and salt cook it for 5 minutes then leave it for cool.

2.In mixer add Bengal gram,ginger ,garlic,mint leaves,onion,green chilly and add chicken then grind it

3.In the chicken mixer adds all remaining spices then mix it well.

4.check the salt taste as per your need.

5.Make a small balls from chicken mixer.

6.Heat oil in pan and fry the balls turn to golden brown color.

7.For Gravy,In a pan heat oil

8.Add cloves,bay leaf,cinnamon stick,curry leaves.

9.After add onion, saute it, then add minced ginger garlic cook it turn to brown in color.

10.Add tomatoes cook it till oil separates form gravy,cook in simmer.

11.Add chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,turmeric ,salt cook it 5minutes

12.Add 1 cup water and 1 cup fresh coconut milk cook it 10 minutes

13 Then add all chicken balls,close the pan cook low flame 5 minutes.

Notes

1.Chicken balls having salt so adjust the salt in gravy as per your taste

2.Adjust the spices also as per you taste
